COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE TRANSACTION MANAGER

COMPANY OVERVIEW: 

Stoneweg US, one of the nation’s fastest growing multifamily real estate investment and development companies, is currently seeking a Commercial Real Estate Transaction Manager. Stoneweg US serves as the exclusive investment manager of Varia US Properties AG, a Swiss, publicly traded real estate fund (SIX Swiss Exchange ticker: VARN) and also partners with US and international equity investors to acquire and develop multifamily assets in markets with strong population growth and positive trending economic conditions. The Stoneweg US team challenges the conventions of real estate investment through a research-driven, results-oriented approach that has led to the successful deployment of over $500 million of equity and the acquisition of over 18,500 multifamily units since 2016. The Company plans to remain focused on this aggressive growth strategy for 2022 and beyond.

POSITION:

Based in the Tampa Bay region, the Commercial Real Estate Transaction Manager will work closely with the Company’s Legal and Acquisitions teams to help organize, administer, and manage the closing process for multifamily acquisition, development, and disposition transactions. The Real Estate Transaction Manager will report to the Leal team and will also provide support to other Company departments including: Asset Management, Acquisitions, Development, and Finance. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, enthusiastic, and collaborative team-player who takes a hands-on approach to all tasks. This will be an exciting role with an opportunity to assume additional responsibilities as the Company expands.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

  • Coordinate, review and maintain due diligence materials for transactions, including acquisitions, development, dispositions, and financings

  • Assist with all aspects of dispositions and acquisition closings, including coordinating delivery of property due diligence, and populating data rooms, review of property/physical due diligence, lease files and service contracts, setting up property inspections with contracting parties and consultants, and review of all other property documents

  • Assist in preparing closing statements including collecting and verifying prorations and invoices

  • Working with title company to coordinate and effectuate the closings

  • Assist in obtaining and reviewing BOVs, appraisals, and valuations

  • Develop, monitor, and update closing, financing, and other checklists for transactions

  • Maintain critical dates for all closings

  • Coordinate onboarding of acquisitions to asset management and finance/accounting groups

  • Assist with ESG initiatives and tracking

  • Maintain central files of transaction documents, warranties and property manuals, and close-out documentation

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Commercial Real Transaction Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Excellent organizational skills with an acute attention to details and nuances

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with special focus on Excel, Outlook, and Word

  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects from inception to completion within required scope and deadlines

  • Strong customer service skills, experience with sophisticated professionals and investors preferred

  • Ability to efficiently work within team settings but equally capable of working independently

  • Demonstrate competency for problem-solving and proactively seeking out solutions to potential office and administrative challenges
